Scratch Junior

Room 4 Year 1's have been learning how to programme this term using Scratch Junior.  They have used their high frequency words from their reading books and have made an interactive activity for other junior students to learn these words too.

Room 22 worked with Room 4 as buddy support to help them to finish their activity, especially with the recording part.  Scratch Junior is now available on Chrome so Room 22 will be downloading this onto their chrome books and looking at how we can use it to build an activity for a junior class.

Room 22 were not allowed to take over the iPad, rather needed to guide their younger buddies and keep them on track with what they were trying to achieve.

  3. Thanks Room 22 you did a great job helping Room 4 with their learning. Can you think of some ways you could use Scratch Junior in your classroom? Or maybe you could develop an educational app for a NE or Year 1 class?
