Skill
1. Start with the large shapes and outlines first - face, head, hair, chin
2. Whisper with your pencil. Soft short strokes to get the general size and proportion.
3. Observe carefully distances, shapes and sizes
4. Make the lines harder when you have achieved the shapes and sizes you want.
5. Smaller detail next - eyes, nose, eyelashes, eyebrows
6. Shading - where is it needed compared to the photograph
1. Choose 3 colours for your background.
2. Blocks of colour so no white paper is showing
1. Frame on black or white paper.
2. Write your name to sign your work.
