Becoming a Digital Citizen

Room 22 have this week started working towards their Digital Passport.  Module One was called Privacy Mission.

Make a Strong Password

·  Put at least 6 letters and 2 numbers in  a password

·  Don't make it a word that identifies you, like your name

·  Don't use "Password"

·  Use ! @  #  $  %  &  ?  to make a strong password that is hard for anyone to guess. 

What information is safe and appropriate to share on line?

·  Screen name

·  Pets

·  Toys

·  Activities you like

·  Favourite colours, food, animals

 What information is NOT safe and appropriate to share online?

·  Name

·  Address

·  Phone Number

·  Anything that identifies you in a personal way

REMEMBER EVERYTHING YOU SHARE ON LINE IS PUBLIC INFORMATION. -

IT IS YOUR DIGITAL FOOTPRINT and you can't delete it once it is shared.

DON'T SAY ANYTHING ON LINE THAT YOU WOULDN'T SAY WHEN TALKING FACE TO FACE WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
